I was trying to get out of an abusive relationship and just wasn’t ready to raise a child on my own.

Abortion has always been and will continue to be healthcare that those of us who can become pregnant will seek out–even at grave cost to ourselves. Rest assured, abortion access will not disappear in this country.

After years of ongoing advocacy, Advocates for Youth applauds the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies for introducing its FY 2023 spending bill without unnecessary and discriminatory restrictions on federal funding of abortion for the second year in a row. 

It was three days after my 18th birthday when I decided to graduate high school instead of being a single teen mother.

We will continue to uplift student survivors' experiences and advocate for regulations that meet student survivors’ needs as the Biden administration finalizes their Title IX rule.”

The Court has let the gun lobby’s interests take precedence over basic public safety. Advocates for Youth condemns this cruel and dangerous dereliction of duty. Nearly every day, we are losing young people to gun violence, and it has become a leading cause of death among U.S. kids and teens. Our government must stop enabling these terrible tragedies and must prioritize the health and well-being of young people.
