Young people led us to victory in California

Today, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed the College Student Right to Access, or Senate Bill 24 by Senator Connie Leyva (D-Chino). Advocates for Youth celebrates the signing of this historic bill that removes barriers to abortion access for young people by mandating all California public universities provide medication abortion, a simple two-pill procedure to safely terminate pregnancy, at their campus health centers.

The Supreme Court Must Protect Abortion Access in Louisiana

Today, the Supreme Court announced that it would hear June Medical Services vs McGee, a case challenging a Louisiana law that would close every clinic in the state but one.  The law would force doctors to have admitting privileges at a hospital near the clinic - a requirement the Supreme Court already found unconstitutional in its landmark 2016 decision on Whole Woman's Health v Hellerstedt.
