I spent 3 months contemplating my life; countless nights awake, weeping, holding my belly and talking to my unborn fetus.

I recently have embarked on a journey toward openness (though not so open I’m ready to give up the relative anonymity of my nom de blog) :-) and sharing my story is the next step in that journey.
Shortly after my husband and I met, I had surgery on my cervix, and was told by my gynecologist and several other doctors that I would have difficulty getting pregnant, and if I did get pregnant, I would have trouble carrying a child to term.
I found out I was pregnant on April 24, 2010. I was 21 at the time; I was so shocked thinking “oh it can’t happen to me.”
