I was a sophomore in college. I had just turned 20. I was not on the pill, but I was always careful to use condoms. One night I was with my boyfriend and the condom came off.

At the age of 17, I received my high school diploma, rented my first apartment, and met a young man I would soon marry.
One thing I knew for sure was that I did not want to become a single mother, so when we started having sex, marriage followed closely behind.
Though I was raised in a Catholic family and apparently encouraged to participate in a “Right to Life” poster contest as a child,I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t pro-choice.
It has been nearly 2 years since I made that decision, and I have no regrets. I am so thankful that I was allowed to make a choice, and make the best decision regarding my long term health and well being.
I was one of the lucky ones. I lived in Ohio, and I was a senior in high school. It was the day before prom, and I took a pregnancy test in a CVS bathoom with my best friend reading the directions.
