In the summer of 2012 I became pregnant unexpectedly. I hadn't had my period in a while - though this didn't cause me any concern.

I found out I was pregnant and was on the verge of killing myself. If my mother hadn't been there supporting my CHOICE to have an abortion, I may be dead instead of writing this testimonial.

I was brutally raped by my boyfriend at the time. I didn't report it because I was beaten and ashamed and he told me that no one would believe me. I thank God every day for the right to have an abortion.

Sexual health and reproductive choice advocacy is a huge passion of mine and it all stems from wanting to make sure all women have the same options as I did.
