New commentary from leading pediatricians and public health experts in the Journal of Adolescent Health identifies key shortcomings in recent sex-education guidelines from the Medical Institute for Sexual Health (MISH) and calls for the adoption of science-based standards for sex education such as the National Sex Education Standards (NSES).
Today, Advocates for Youth and We Testify filed a landmark Supreme Court amicus brief comprised of the narratives of people who have had abortions, and joined by over 6,600 people who have had abortions, representing all 50 states, DC, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The Resolution works to replace an outdated and ineffective National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month to better provide young people with complete, accurate, and inclusive sexual health information and access to sexual and reproductive health care services, empowering them to make healthy decisions for themselves and promoting healthy lifelong attitudes toward sex, health, and reproductive rights.
