I have had two abortions both within a year at the ages of 18 and 19 years old. It is not something I am proud of and at times I am quite ashamed but I have never regretted my decisions. Both pregnancies were conceived through my abuser (my boyfriend at the time). I couldn’t imagine a life trapped with that monster let alone making my child suffer through what he put me through. It was single handedly the hardest decision I’ve ever made in my life, but I’d do it all over again to protect them and myself.
