In 1974 I found my twenty year old self alone and pregnant. I was in my senior year of college in Chicago and applying to graduate school. Fortunately, I had been volunteering at a women’s health advocacy group and knew what to do and where to go. I had friends who could support me through the process. I was relieved to be able to end the pregnancy. THIS WAS FORTY YEARS AGO! Access to abortion should not go backwards! I am shocked that we are facing this fight again.
