I was a 19 year old thousands of miles from family and desperate to find connections. This led me to make many bad decisions. Half-way through my freshman year, I was pregnant and alone. Luckily, I had a job and was able to afford care at the local women’s clinic. Having the child alone was unthinkable – an abortion was the best choice for me.
