I was 18 just finished high school and starting university away from home for the first time when I found out I was pregnant by my high school boyfriend back home. I knew immediately that I wanted an abortion, that I wasn’t ready for a baby. My brand new girlfriends that I had just met loaned me the money and came with me to the clinic. The staff only spoke French, and I didn’t, but they were very kind. It was a two step procedure and went well. While I’ve always thought about the person who might have been, I’ve NEVER regretted the decision and would make it again if I went back in time.
