I was 20 years old, dating the love of my life (25 years later, still together). I was a sophomore in college, and felt I was doomed to repeat my mother’s history.

She had me when she was 19, but that was in 1970. I had another choice, one that let me continue my studies and be the first woman in my family to graduate college and go on to law school. I made the right choice for me, and that’s all I ask – that every woman have that inalienable right to choose what is best for HER.
