I just recently had an abortion at 21. I have been having sex since I was 15 and I’ve always been safe about it, very cautious. This past Augustthough, I had been with my boyfriend for almost two years and he was leaving for college 700 miles away and we started to fool around with no protection. A month after he left I didn’t get my period and had 3 positive pregnancy tests. The week I found out I was pregnant was also the week I found out he was cheating on me and wants to break up. The choice was clear to me. I would be starting my 3rd year in college and I was neither mentally or financially prepared for a child. I am thankful every day that I made the decision I did.
