The abortion I had at 24 in 1991 did society a favor. When I learned the news, I was abusing alcohol terribly. Aware of the damage alcohol does to a developing fetus, I simply couldn’t stop drinking. I felt nothing except relief once the procedure was finished and still do, to this day.
