I was two weeks away from my 24th birthday. I had been dating my boyfriend at the time for almost 4 years. I found out he was being deceitful and was eager to date other women. We broke up and a week later I found out I was six weeks pregnant.

He supported my choice to terminate the pregnancy and paid for half of the procedure. It was made possible by a group of female doctors and nurses at a Clinic in Denver. I felt safe and welcomed. I am so thankful I had that choice to control my life and my body. I am grateful to live in a state that provides me with access to such care. It is so important that a woman can make her own choices.
