I’ve been pregnant 7 times: 3 children, 2 miscarriages and 2 abortions. My first abortion was when I was 16 and clearly not ready to be a parent and neither was my 16-year-old boyfriend. My second abortion was in my early 40s when I was in the middle of a divorce. My family was in so much turmoil at the time, I could not bring another life into that mess.

Choosing to have an abortion was not easy. I don’t feel good about it, but I am confident in both cases, it was the right thing to do.
