This Toolkit highlights challenges faced by LGBTQ youth, offers insight on how they thrive, and enhances the awareness among healthcare staff, educators, and additional youth-serving professionals about the existing disparities in order to provide safer spaces.

Antiretroviral therapy (ART) is the use of HIV medicines to treat HIV. Young people living with HIV (YPLWHIV) on ART take a combination of HIV medicines (called an HIV treatment regimen) every day.

National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day (NYHAAD), annually on April 10th is a day to educate the public about the impact of HIV and AIDS on young people.
