Anu is the Youth Activist Network (YAN) Manager at Advocates for Youth. Anu supports the Student Organizing Team in their efforts to run strategic issue-based campaigns at their schools around reproductive justice, sexual health, and LGBTQ rights. Anu also works with two contraceptive access initiatives: Condom Collective and Free the Pill. Anu began as a student organizer with United Students Against Sweatshops at Virginia Tech where Anu led solidarity campaigns for worker rights. Anu has three years of direct service experience coordinating positive youth development programs at Asian American LEAD.  In addition to youth work, Anu organizes with API (Asian/Pacific Islander) Resistance in the DMV area. Anu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, with a concentration in Social Inequality and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies.
