In this scenario, the participant will have to navigate a parent’s concern about the upcoming sex education portion of your 7th grade health class. Key objectives are explaining specifically what is and isn’t taught, district policy, and the parent’s right to “opt-out”. The participant will need to demonstrate active listening, the ability to defuse an angry parent, and present active solutions to the problem.
