In this scenario, the participant will have to navigate a parent’s concern about the upcoming puberty lesson in your 5th grade class. Key objectives are explaining specifically what is and isn’t taught, district policy, and the parent’s right to “opt-out”. The participant will need to demonstrate active listening, the ability to defuse an angry parent, and present active solutions to the problem.
