I was young, wild, in college but, zigged when I should’ve zagged & was in no way ready to bring a life.

When I got pregnant in 1964, abortions were illegal in the United States and I had not really thought out anything.

When I was in my final year of my undergrad degree, Planned Parenthood switched my birth control.

In 1974 I was having some physical problems that made it necessary for me to stop taking the pill.

My husband ran away with a very young woman, leaving me with 4 children to raise alone. The oldest was 8.

When I found out I was pregnant, we both agreed that having a baby was not an option.

I have no children; I never wanted to have children and I have never felt anything but proud of having the courage of my convictions.

I know it’s irrational, but every morning I woke terrified that abortion had become illegal overnight!

As a single mom with three children and very little, if any, help from their father I found I was pregnant again.
