Other Ways to Support Our Work

Want to do even more? Leveling up your giving through fundraisers, planned giving, and other strategies helps sustain Advocates’ work.

Host a Fundraiser

Support young people fighting for reproductive rights and sexual health by raising funds for Advocates for Youth. Participate in or host fundraising events to raise awareness and support for Advocates for Youth. For example, these events may include:

  • Benefit walks or runs
  • Auctions
  • Social gatherings

If you are hosting a fundraiser or donating proceeds, let us know! We value the efforts of those helping youth activists and want to highlight your contributions. Please complete and return the fundraiser profile form so we can acknowledge your support and help promote your efforts.

Planned Giving

At Advocates for Youth, we envision a society in which all young people are valued, respected, and treated with dignity; sexuality is accepted as a healthy part of being human; and youth sexual development is normalized and embraced.

Making a legacy gift to Advocates for Youth is a thoughtful way to ensure that our efforts—with you as a partner—enable us to shift the cultural paradigm in which we live from one that too often stigmatizes youth and youth sexual development to one that embraces youth as partners and recognizes sexuality as normal and healthy.

If you are ready to commit to building youth power for future generations, we can help you. There are several options for legacy giving:

  • Bequest gifts
  • Securities gifts
  • Life Insurance gifts
  • Personal Property gifts
  • Retirement and IRA gifts

Suggested Bequest Language

To make a bequest of a specific dollar amount to Advocates for Youth, you may consider using the following sample language in your will or trust:

“I give, devise, and bequeath the sum of [insert specific dollar amount] to Advocates for Youth, a nonprofit organization with its principal office located at 1325 G Street NW, Suite 980, Washington, DC 20005, to be used for its general purposes or as specified by the organization.”

If you are considering making a bequest of a percentage of your estate to Advocates for Youth, you might use the following language in your will or trust:

“I give, devise, and bequeath [insert percentage, e.g., ‘10%’] of my estate, both real and personal, to Advocates for Youth, a nonprofit organization located at 1325 G Street NW, Suite 980, Washington, DC 20005, for its general purposes.”

Please consult with your attorney to ensure that this language is appropriate for your specific situation and to address any other legal considerations your estate planning may involve. They can help tailor the wording to fit your needs and ensure that your intentions are clearly stated.
