Show President Biden that we have heard his promise to “follow the science,” and we think that means birth control pills should be available over-the-counter, covered by insurance, and free of age restrictions.

Young people deserve access

Birth control pills prevent unplanned pregnancies, but only if you have the means, insurance, and time to get a prescription at the doctor first. For young people — especially low-income, trans, queer, and other marginalized youth — accessing birth control can be unnecessarily difficult.

Young people deserve to take charge of our bodily autonomy. Just like condoms and Plan B, birth control pills help us take control of our futures — so shouldn’t they ALSO be on the shelves at CVS and Walgreens?

Brought to you by the #FreeThePill Youth Council,  a collaboration between Advocates for Youth and Ibis Reproductive Health made up of youth activists from across the country who are working in their communities to bring birth control over-the-counter, covered by insurance with no age-restriction.
