I got pregnant the day I submitted my college applications. My best friend encouraged us to tell our parents. When I suffered horrific complications a month after my abortion, we had their support. Months later my mother stood strong for me when a pro-life advocate sent me a birthday card asking “why I murdered my baby.” Twenty-four years later, I am a successful executive with a Master’s degree. My first love has a Ph.D. and is career Army Special Forces. He is the father of twin girls. We haven’t forgotten our choice, and we are very thankful for the lives we’ve lead because of that choice.
