My husband and I tried for three years to have a second child. Just when we were going to give up, I got pregnant. We were so excited! We wanted that baby more than anything. Seven weeks in, I started bleeding and went to the emergency room, only to find out that the baby was ectopic…growing in my fallopian tube instead of in my womb. Nothing could be done to save the pregnancy, and I needed a chemical abortion to save my own life. I’m so glad I was able to get it done quickly and safely. I don’t even want to think about a world in which it would be illegal.
