I had an abortion during my third year of college. I was an out-of-state student who was working hard to pay my own way through school. I had a boyfriend at the time. Having an abortion made sense for me and I do not regret it at all. Today, I am married (to a different, wonderful man). I have a professional job which I love and we plan on having children within the next couple of years. If I had a child during school, I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today. It may have taken me longer to finish and I may have had to settle for a different career. I couldn’t be happier with my life, and my abortion made that possible.
