I had been married for 4 years when I became pregnant. I was 26 years old. My husband did not want a child at the time and convinced me to have an abortion. I was feeling really sick, so it was an easy decision.

This was 38 years ago. I have two grown sons and became pregnant with my older son a few months after my abortion.

I have had many years when I don’t think about it very much, but sometimes it is very painful to think about.
