Please explain (in 300 to 500 words) why you are a youth activist. If you wish, you can use the following questions as a guide. Or, you can simply write your story. You can inspire youth to become youth activists!

E-mail your story to us at information@advocatesforyouth.org.

  1. Why are you an activist? Why are you involved? Why are you working for change?
  2. What are you doing? Be specific.
    1. List organizations with which you are active. Include Web site links so we can drive traffic to your organizations' sites.
    2. Provide examples of activities and projects that you work on within your organizations.
  3. What difference do you feel that you are making? Talk about the impact of your being an activist. Include examples of programs that have improved because of your efforts, the change an individual has made as a result of your work, etc.
    1. How has your being an activist affected you and/or made a difference in your life?
    2. How has your being an activist affected others and/or made a difference in others' lives?
