YWOC4RJ Leadership Council Application 2020-2021
Applications are due by July 1st at midnight.
The Young Womxn of Color for Reproductive Leadership Council is a group of 14-24 year old young womxn of color from across the country who will work to educate, mobilize, and amplify issues impacting their community and ensure access to their full reproductive rights and sexual health education. We seek to develop the leadership and mobilize young womxn of color in solidarity with each other to create a society free from all forms of reproductive oppression.
The goals of the YWOC4RJ LC are:
- To raise awareness among young people, especially young womxn of color, about the need for sexual health and reproductive rights.
- To advocate for the inclusion of YWOC in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of sexual health and reproductive rights programs and policies.
- To engage and mobilize young womxn of color ages 13-24 on issues that impact them and their communities.
Over the course of the year, YWOC LC members will be leading a campaign called “The Future is Young Women of Color”, focused on the ways YWOC are building a new world where reproductive freedom is respected and accessible for all.
Applications are due by July 1st at midnight. We look forward to seeing your application! If you have questions, please email kinjo@advocatesforyouth.org
