TheodoreHi, my name is Theodore and I am a 20-year old student studying career development at the Vocational Training School and Development Institute in Jamaica. My leadership work started in 2006, when I was appointed Head Boy of the Cumberland High School. Shortly after, I was sent on a Student Leadership Camp with student leaders across Jamaica. During that period of time, I was asked to represent the youth of my community on a live radio broadcast on KLAS FM. Then, I started to enroll in numerous programs; first, I was appointed as a member of Jamaica’s Solution to Youth Lifestyle and Empowerment (JA-STYLE). While in JA-STYLE, I development my skills in advocacy and got a passion for sexual and reproductive health issues affecting young people across Jamaica. Next, I was asked to serve as Minister of Labour and Social Security at the Youth Parliament in 2006. This experience helped me understand government polices, procedures, and constitutions. I am an active member of the New testament Church of God in Jamaica. I strongly believe that all the events in my life were for a purpose. Presently, I see where I am growing and everyday I am getting better at what I do best; representing my peers.
