I plan to change the way sexual health and prevention programs are developed in the state of Michigan.
Camille is a member of the Young Women of Color Leadership Council.
I am currently a senior at the University of Michigan studying International Studies: Global Health & Environment, with a minor in Gender & Health. My goal is to promote sexual health and awareness to everyone. The increasing numbers of HIV/AIDS among African American women has been the force in my actions toward the promotion of sexual health. I am convinced that all people may contribute to creating change in this huge epidemic. If I can reach out and save one life, I feel that I am succeeding in my mission. I am the President and Founder of The CoitusLove Organization at the University of Michigan. My organization has developed programs regarding peer education workshops, informational movie nights, and taken trips to the Detroit Juvenile Detention Center to speak to youth on sexual health issues. The work of CoitusLove has allowed me to become passionate in sexual health. I am also involved in the Michigan Organization of Adolescent and Sexual Health as Advisory Council Member. Eventually through my advocacy efforts, I plan to change the way sexual health prevention programs are developed in the state of Michigan.
