By becoming educated, many young people are able to make better decisions for themselves, and use their voices to help others in need. Simple education and effort can change the life of young people today, and in the future.

Aditi is a college sophomore and a member of the International Youth Leadership Council.

Hi, my name is Aditi and I’m originally from Knoxville, TN. I got involved in activism in the youth sexual health and rights movement because my family is originally from India and I began reading about the issues that many young Indian girls are going through, and it really motivated me to get involved in some way. My hope is that young people of the present and future learn about their rights and motivate each other. I believe that young people should receive sex education to learn how to keep themselves safe. To me family planning on an international scale is a critical issue in today’s modern world. I also believe that education is the most effective way to solve this problem. By becoming educated, many young people are able to make better decisions for themselves, and use their voices to help others in need. Simple education and effort can change the life of young people today, and in the future.
