I want for young people of our generation and future generations to learn to listen, support, inform, and guide one another to better sexual health and ultimately better overall health.

Ariel works with Advocates for Youth and Tell Them as a State Activist in South Carolina.

This past academic year of 2010- 2011 I was elected to the position of Miss Claflin University which is a pageant and student- vote based election. My main goal to utilize my title and reign was to inform others on preventive healthcare measures.

I joined the sexual health and rights movement because of the vast number of people who are afraid to discuss, confront, and deal with sexual health and rights. The consistent motivation comes from seeing and knowing pregnant teens that are afraid to talk about that life changing experience; it comes from seeing and knowing individuals who have questions but, no resources are available to them. When I am further prepared I will continue to be more than willing to reach out to those individuals the best way possible. These individuals need comfort in knowing that someone is willing to listen to them and assist them with their health.

I want for young people of our generation and future generations to learn to listen, support, inform, and guide one another to better sexual health and ultimately overall health. It is important for young people to advocate for sexual health and rights because sometimes youth need to hear from someone their age who deals with similar issues daily.
