I want for people to have the information that I could not get it. The information has to be accessible to young adults. I want young people of my generation and future generations to not have the abortion debate because we are all either abstinent, use birth control, or plan for parenthood.

Hanna works with Advocates for Youth and Tell Them as a State Activist in South Carolina.

As a student, I sought out knowledge about sexuality on my own but I didn’t know which resources were correct. The medical websites were hard to understand. So this left me a very confused adolescent with a lot of questions and not very many answers.

I want for people to have the information that I could not get it. The information has to be accessible to young adults. I want young people of my generation and future generations to not have the abortion debate because we are all either abstinent, use birth control, or plan for parenthood. Ultimately, citizens should all be educated about their sexual health and rights.

I know people who have gotten abortions, who have miscarried, who have children, who have unprotected sex, who use birth control, and who are abstinent. Out of all of these people the ones who I do what I do for are the ones who continue to have sex without any form of protection. Somewhere along the line they didn’t get the message that unprotected sex leads to unintended pregnancy. I want to fix that.
