I am Ukah Chidera Thompson from Imo state, which is in the eastern part of Nigeria. I am an 18years old male youth activist who would love to study Electrical and Computer Engineering. I was trained as a peer educator during the COMPASS project implemented by EVA, during the course of the training, I was faced with lots of challenges among my peers, due to some issues faced by young people in my community, I think that the only way to address these issues is by getting young people involved in issues affecting them and being part of finding solutions to them.
Based on my work as a peer educator, I was selected to join Youth Advocates Group constituted by EVA & AFY. I am also a member of a community based organization; I like acting drama, discussing with peers on SRHR issues. I am proud to being a youth activist, because I like lobbying policy makers to ensure policies that affect youths are implemented.
