I love to make a difference and I knew that being a youth activist I would be able to make something happen.

Nicole, 16, works with Advocates for Youth and the Jewish Renaissance Foundation as a member of the Perth Amboy Youth Activist Network.

I joined the Youth Activist Network my sophomore year. I wanted to be a part of a program that took action in helping our community. I love to make a difference and I knew that being a youth activist I would be able to make something happen. Y.A.N was a success. It gave teens in our town the opportunity to open about a lot of things and also gave them what they needed to stay informed. Being in the youth activist network is something I’m very proud of. And I love the people that I work with. Besides being a youth activist I also enjoy all sports, especially basketball, football, baseball, and cheerleading. I love to try new things and meet different people.
