MacKenzie Print

As an assignment from a teacher, I did a project on teen pregnancy, and during my research I found out about the lack of education in schools for sex education and pregnancy prevention.

Mackenzie, 14, works with Advocates for Youth and the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Campaign of North Carolina (APPCNC) as a member of the North Carolina Teen Health Now Council.

I became interested in this field when I saw many shows on television that had teenagers becoming pregnant. Then, as an assignment from a teacher, I did a project on teen pregnancy, and during my research I found out about the lack of education in schools for sex education and pregnancy prevention. My sister, Taylor, was already a part of Teen Health Now, so I thought that we could have fun together while making a difference.
