As I educate my peers about important sexual health rights, the more I learn and grow as an activist. As an American student, it can be easy to forget about some of the hardships in the world. I personally find it more gratifying to help people than to just continue my mundane life and education without any effort to participate in outreach work.

Coming from an international background, I have realized the importance of sexual health rights for youth across the globe. In many areas, especially the Middle East, the discussion of sexual health is taboo, which can be detrimental to the health of young people. Advocates for Youth has provided me with appropriate tools to voice important sexual health issues, affecting youth across the world. I believe it is especially important for youth to realize that helping others also helps themselves. I am motivated to participate in various opportunities because I want to continue to make a difference and help others realize that they can too.
