It is important that young people be involved in this movement because we are the ones who are directly impacted when adults and educators deny us honest information about sexual health

Lee, 21, works with Advocates for Youth and the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Campaign of North Carolina (APPCNC) as a member of the North Carolina Teen Health Now Council.

I have been an advocate for the rights of young people since I was in high school. I am currently a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I am the president of Young Democrats and the co-chair of VOX: Voices for Planned Parenthood. As a member of Teen Health Now: North Carolina Youth Leadership Council, I have lobbied on Capitol Hill for comprehensive sex education, engaged the faith community in reproductive justice work.

I believe that young people deserve to know the truth about reproduction and their sexuality. It is important that young people be involved in this movement because we are the ones who are directly impacted when adults and educators deny us honest information about sexual health.
