When we have young people who are being discriminated against, we must take a stand. To witness injustice today is a call for action every day.
Richard is a college junior and a member of the Campus Organizing Team.
I got involved in activism work while attending Morehouse College. During my sophomore year I decided to join the Residential Advisor program. This opportunity gave me the experience to work with the campus organizer team at Advocates for youth. This particular opportunity gave me many experiences such as Morehouse College’s Deep (Diversity Education Enrichment Program), Life Aids campaign, Great American Condom Campaign and many other initiatives.
There was always a passion in me for helping people, believing in my life motto “To reach the unreached”. I believe that it is our responsibility while on earth to help others. My hope for the generation of today is that there will be a day for all to live in harmony and as individuals. It is our duty to advocate for sexual health and rights. We must become the change we want to see in our society. When we have young people who are being discriminated against, we must take a stand. To witness injustice today is a call for action every day.
