Sex Education: Making the Case Print
Substantial evidence of the effectiveness of comprehensive sex education has recently emerged. Repeated evaluations have found that comprehensive sex education programs do not lead to increased frequency of sex or sexual risk taking; meanwhile, many evaluated programs exist which aid youth to reduce sexual risk-taking and provide complete information about both abstinence and condoms and contraception.  Meanwhile, evaluations have repeatedly found that abstinence-only education is biased and ineffective.  The facts below cam prepare you to address school boards, parents, and policy makers about sex education.
