Oklahoma is one of seven states which prohibits any positive depiction of homosexuality in schools. Its HIV prevention education must emphasize the danger of “homosexual or promiscuous” sexual behavior and must emphasize the failure rates of contraception. Sex Education PolicyOklahoma does not require sex education, but if it is taught, it must have the promotion of abstinence as a primary goal. Oklahoma does require HIV education.
