Through its School Health Equity Program, Advocates for Youth is pleased to offer resources and support to state and local education agencies, along with their health agency partners and community‐based organizations, to improve adolescent sexual and reproductive health policy and practice in schools. Advocates can assist state and local partners in assessing and implementing policies to improve comprehensive sex education, school‐based sexual health services, linkages to youth‐friendly sexual health and psychological and social services, and school environment for GLBTQ youth.

Advocates for Youth can provide the following to state and local partners through its School Health Equity Program:

  • Technical Assistance by Telephone and Email
  • Electronic Newsletter
  • School Health Equity Listserv
  • Online Training Modules
  • Interactive Webinars
  • Tailored, On‐Site Workshops or Trainings (for selected partners)

Resources, technical assistance, and training are available on topics including:

  • Comprehensive sex education
  • Youth-friendly sexual health services
  • GLBTQ health and rights
  • Policy and advocacy
  • Media, messaging, and public speaking
  • Social media
  • Youth-adult partnerships
  • Youth advocacy
  • Peer education
  • Coalition building
  • Community mobilization
