Young People to Mobilize Against Failed Abstinence-Only Programs at Home and Abroad
At a time when the President’s FY 2007 budget requests significant increases for failed abstinence-only-until-marriage programs at home and abroad, Advocates for Youth is launching two new campaigns to mobilize young people across the country in opposition to these ineffective and dangerous programs that censor information about condoms.
Rights.Respect.Responsibility.® Keep It REAL Campaign empowers youth to become part of the policy process, to demand honest and accurate information about sexual and reproductive health, and to support the Responsible Education about Life (REAL) Act.
Rights.Respect.Responsibility.® Fix the Gap Campaign takes aim at the United States' exportation of abstinence-only programs to other countries around the world, particularly those in sub-Saharan Africa.

Take P.A.R.T.!
Take Positive Action for Responsible Television (Take P.A.R.T.) to support accurate sexual health information and positive images on television.
This month, we recognize the hit series, Grey's Anatomy and Boston Legal -both on ABC.
- Grey's Anatomy offered an accurate, creative, and sensitive depiction of the important issues faced by intersex youth and their families. This alert is no longer active.
- Boston Legal depicted the tragic situation of a teen who was raped and then denied access to emergency contraception in the Catholic hospital where she was taken for treatment.
This alert is no longer active.
Responsible television means depicting storylines that can raise public awareness of important and difficult issues. These storylines encourage understanding and supportive care for intersex teens and for rape survivors. Send a letter in support of Grey's Anatomy and Boston Legal.
