Advocates for Youth Invites You to Join Us …

Youth Activist Network's Monthly AIM Strategy Session

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2005 AT 10:00 PM EST

So, its 10 pm on a Wednesday night. You are slowly drifting into a post-dinner daze as the Hollywood stars conquer the screen in front of you. Now, I know the Sobakawa pillow is intriguing; and yes, your favorite sitcom is calling you; but it's time to turn off the TV. Sign onto Advocates for Youth's monthly AIM strategy session and then you can sleep comfortably, knowing how you can make your voice heard in a discussion on young people's sexuality!

This Wednesday, February 23, at 10:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) learn about Advocates' My Voice Counts! Advocacy and Organizing Toolkit (located at http://www.advocatesforyouth.org/youth/advocacy/yan/toolkit/index.htm). Now, I'm not just talking about a review of what the tool kit covers—I'm talking about individual applications here. I'm talking about how YOU can use this toolkit in your school or community to advocate for your sexual and reproductive health rights.

This toolkit has got it all, folks. It has information on planning a forum, organizing a petition drive, working with the media, staging a press event, lobbying, and communicating with policy makers. And, that is not all, my friends. This toolkit also works as a cheese grater. Ok … so it doesn't; but regardless, this campaign toolkit has all you need to know as an advocate, ally, or youth activist. Remember, the first step to being an activist is being active—so, sign on and participate in the Youth Activist Network's strategy session. Let Advocates' staff help you to succeed in your campaign for comprehensive sex education. We all hope to see your bright and shining screen name with us on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 23 at 10:00 pm EST.

For more information, or to RSVP, please drop Jessie a line at jessie@advocatesforyouth.org with your AOL screen name. Jessie's screen name is AdvocatesJessie. See ya there!
