"Abstain or Use Your Brain"

On March 10th, marking the first annual National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, Advocates for Youth launched part one of a two part national education campaign focusing on young women of color actively avoiding and/or reducing risk for HIV.

In honor of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, Advocates also released two new issue briefs addressing the disproportionate effect of HIV on women of color, specifically young Latina and African American women.

National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month (NTPPM) Is Fast Approaching

Start planning your events now!

May is National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month. Please join Advocates for Youth in promoting and supporting effective teen pregnancy prevention initiatives. Download the updated guidebook which provides strategic tips and examples to help local communities plan and implement activities for NTPPM. It also includes fact sheets, guidance for involving youth and working with the media, and sample forms.

Advocates for Youth and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte are sponsoring the eighth European study tour, October 20-November 6, 2006.
