As college students, we never thought that we would actually have the opportunity to share this with you. Thank you, Advocates for Youth, for allowing us to express ourselves. As an upcoming filmmaker, I've decided to dedicate my life to doing more than just making films. My main career goal is to bring truth to entertainment even if that means focusing on controversial issues. I know that it won't be easy going against the odds but I'm willing to take that chance. If we as young people don't do it, then who will?
Parents please talk to your children and be open with them about these issues. It's been proven that if you establish an open and healthy relationship with your child, he or she will have a better chance of making wiser decisions about sexual and reproductive health. It's never too early to start.
