Future of Sex Education: National Sexuality Education Standards
The goal of the National Sexuality Education Standards: Core Content and Skills, K–12 is
to provide clear, consistent and straightforward guidance on the essential minimum, core content for sexuality education that is age-appropriate for students in grades K–12. The Standards are presented both by topic area and by grade level.

These resources from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) can assist educators in designing, choosing, and evaluating sex education curricula.

National Health Education Standards (NHES)
National Health Education Standards (NHES) are written expectations for what students should know and be able to do by grades 2, 5, 8, and 12 to promote personal, family, and community health. The standards provide a framework for curriculum development and selection, instruction, and student assessment in health education.
