Sex Education
Advocacy and Action Print

Over the past ten years ab-only programs have been implemented across the country.  Recently we have seen a growing number of states reject ab-only because it is ineffective.  Help stop the promotion of… In its place is a federal policy funding abstinence-only-until-marriage programs in the United States and around the world—programs that censor information about contraception and condoms. Take action now.  Advocate for effective sex education programs.

Take Action

Tell Congress to Fund Comprehensive Sex Education!
It’s Time for a Change.

Over the past 10 years, the federal government has funded over $1.5 billion in abstinence-only programs that censor information about the health benefits of contraception and condoms. It’s Time for a Change. Tell your Senators to support sex education programs that provide young people with accurate and complete information about contraceptives and condoms.

Tell Congress to Eliminate Abstinence-Only Funding
Over the past 12 years, Congress has invested over $1.5 billion in programs that mislead young people and promote scientifically-inaccurate information.  Most recently, a long-term, scientific evaluation mandated by Congress confirmed that these programs are ineffective at helping young people abstain from sex.  The facts are in and now Congress must act to stop throwing good money after bad! Tell Congress to eliminate all federal funding for failed abstinence-only-until-marriage programs!
