How Will My Donation Make a Difference?
Your generous financial support will allow Advocates for Youth to:
- Educate young people, youth-serving organizations, parents, policy makers, and the media on sexual and reproductive health issues such as teen pregnancy prevention, HIV/STI prevention, contraceptive access and normalizing condom use. Advocates also has initiatives focused on youth of color and gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth.
- Train educators, parents, health care providers, and advocates on talking with youth about sex, trends and attitudes among and affecting young people, youth-friendly services, cultural competency, youth-adult relationships, and effective programs.
- Support youth activists by providing guidance around policy issues, peer education, working with adults, community participation, and non-governmental organization (NGO) management.
