Medua is a member of the Nigeria Youth Advocates Group through the International Youth Speak Out Project. I am 21-year old youth activist from Delta State in Nigeria. I am a student in mechanical engineering at Federal Polytechnic. I have participated in trainings hosted by Education as a Vaccine Against AIDS (EVA) and the Society for Family Health through the Promoting Reproductive and Sexual Health for HIV/AIDS Reduction (PRSSH) program. During the course of mt training, I came to terms with issues affecting young people in my community. Now, I am the project officer of the Movement against the spread of HIV/AIDS and STI’s (MASA). Many of my activities have been written about in This Day Nigeria and featured on BBC programs. I am also currently a member of EVA’s youth leadership council, hosted in collaboration with Advocates for Youth. I believe that through his work with the national youth leadership council, I will continue to develop my skills, achieve my goals, and make a difference in the policies that affect young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights.
